.:: SALTWATER ::

On September 2006 I started saltwater fish keeping. My first setup was a 29g D.I.Y all-glass by me and my cousin brother(Bro). After going through a fish-only aquarium with the 29 setup, I decided to go for a more colorful setup. My lighting was just a regular daylight, but now the entire lighting has been changed and replaced by T5 light tubes (T5 20W blue actinic + 1 regular daylight 20W). I'm satisfied with this kind of lighting, i don't grow any corals at the moment.
After having 29g setup for about 6 months we have decided to go for a bigger one, as always the better the bigger.
We went for a 58g (D.I.Y all-glass by me & Bro) as it will accommodate more fishes, and the water parameter issues will be minimize due to the larger volume. With this setup instead of a bare-bottom we went for a DSB of 2", we used live sand and crushed coral as substrate, 10kg of live rock (all cured in-the-tank without stressing any fishes).
once the tank was fully cycled we added a sump for extra water volume and circulation.

Equipments:
1 2500ap Powerhead
1 1600ap Powerhead (used in the over-flow filter box in the main tank)
1 1600ap Powerhead (in the sump)
over-flow drain box (water from display tank to the sump)

Fishes:
1 zig-zag wrasse
1 unknown wrasse
1 midas blenny
1 pink-bar-shrimp goby (aurora)
2 green chromise
1 black-back butterfly fish

love nature, and loved it. I loved your chamelion. Is it your pet? I had a spot in my digs sheltered from the cold and designed to grow ferns. With a lot of effort and money I couldn't spare I had the golden ferns going crazy popping shoots all over. Then one day I had this beautiful chamelion, with such bright shades of green to match my ferns and with the most beautiful eyes lined in bright orange.

He was shy. It took me a while to make friends with him. Never ate my tit bits but seemed to enjoy sitting and watching my every move. Harvey I called him and sadly one day, he came no more. What had become of my friend? Disaster? Owls on the prowl nearby? New friends? New family? I dont know. I did pray to Allah to look after my cute friend Harvey.

Would love to see more of nature here. May Allah Bless You.
